Gamasutra article here. They're working on a web plugin, and plan to make a game portal called "instantaction.com" (wasn't that a band in the 80s?) . This ups the ante quite a bit, and gives a lot of momentum to GarageGames. While Torque is the 3D platform to beat on Windows, it's inferior in many ways to Unity, IMHO. But with a workable browser plugin, XNA integration, and the Dillions in funding, the gap may be narrowing. Unity 2.0 is due any day, but without a Windows port, Unity may be left standing on the sidelines, the Betamax of realtime 3D tools. Time is a factor, and as cool as Unity is, powerful and well-financed competitors want the same space.
